Texas has long enjoyed consistent economic growth and Michael wants the Texas Miracle to continue for decades to come. Michael understands that a pro-economic growth approach to governing is needed to make this happen. As a member of the Texas House, Michael will support policies that promote low taxes, a reduced regulatory burden, a free market economic system, and a business-friendly environment for the state.

Michael believes in low taxes. He will fight to lower property taxes and stop Texans from being taxed out of their homes. Michael opposes a big-government, high-tax approach to governing. Rather than tax people to grow government, Michael wants to see Texans keep more of their hard-earned dollars.

Michael will also be an advocate in our state government for fiscal responsibility and prudent management of taxpayers' money. As a member of the Texas House, Michael will work to ensure that Texas’ government operates in a cost-efficient manner.

Texas prospers when it empowers people, not government. Michael knows that Texans do not want or need a government that is involved in every area of their lives, making all of their decisions for them. As state representative, Michael’s aim will be to ensure that people have the freedom to better their lives without the government getting in the way.

Michael proudly supports Texas law enforcement and believes our brave men and women in uniform should be treated with the respect they deserve. In an age where politicians seek to “defund the police,” Michael will stand up for law enforcement, and always advocate for helping our officers do their jobs safely and effectively.

With people and businesses flocking to Texas and Texas’ current water supply decreasing, we face a looming water crisis. Michael understands that we must act now to secure Texas’ future water supply. Michael will work with other members of the Texas House to tackle this problem by working to expand and diversify Texas’ water supply, and replace Texas’ aging water infrastructure.

Michael believes in an “all-of-the-above” approach to energy. Michael will support the Texas oil and gas industry that employs countless Texans and powers Texas homes and businesses. Michael also knows that it is imperative that Texas’ electric grid work like Texans need it to. Michael will make the stability of Texas’ electric grid a priority as state representative.
